The average largemouth weighs 2 lbs. with an occasional 8-pounder taken. Crappie also does extremely well in Ross Barnett Reservoir, as do catfish and bream. Enid Lake In 1957 Enid Lake produced a 5 lbs., 3oz. white crappie, and this world record is still standing. With the average crappie pushing 1 lb., it's easy to see why they still rule this reservoir. Enid Lake also offers large numbers of largemouth bass in the 3-pounder class. Chanel cats and flatheads are also popular species targeted here. Grenada Lake Grenada Lake supports excellent crappie and largemouth bass populations. All three types of catfish do well here, with monster flatheads up to 60-pounds reported! The large white bass population is often overlooked. Sardis Lake Crappie is Sardis Lake's main attraction, taking up nearly 90% of the angling pressure. For good reason, loads of quality fish are found with most weighing around 1 lb. Sardis also offers good largemouth bass, channel and blue catfish action.
